If you are a serious golfer and haven’t been using any kind of golf GPS devices, all I can say is you don’t know what you are missing. Garmin’s GolfLogic GPS  has saved me so much time that it’s not even funny. Not only that, but it has definitely shaved a multiple shots off my score card as well (more of a feeling than scientific certainty!).

The only thing I have found hard about this golf course GPS unit is that the distances it gives you are sometimes different from what you see printed on your golf course’s signage. I have found that the gps is probably more correct than the signage 95% of the time. This is what has saved me the strokes!

If you are interested in buying the Golf Logix, you can get it cheapest here.

  • Easy to use golf oriented GPS device great for displaying key yardage distances on a course.
  • Instantly calculates distance from anywhere you are standing in the course. Also accounts for hazards.
  • Built in LCD screen good for all weathers and is 100% water and shock proof.
  • Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, and 2000 and Mac OS X; up to 22 hours of battery life
  • Rugged and durable as hell. Dropped this thing in a puddle on the parking lot from pretty high up one day and it didn’t effect it at all. I thought for sure it was a goner.
  • Comes with a 1 year warranty but you won’t need it.
  • Out of all the GPS units for golfers, I think that the golf logix by Garmin is by far the best of them. I have seen mostly good reviews everywhere I have checked for this device. Also, a lot of people on amazon really like the 2008 model especially.

They also have the 2010 model version for sale as well: GolfLogix GPS by GARMIN (2010 Model)

The GolfLogix basically does all the calculations and guess work for you, which is why I like it the best. It’s similar to how you will never do a serious math problem without a calculator now. It really is a handy device and I can’t imagine going back to the old way of doing it. It has me really spoiled.
